Nigel Butt PartnerNigel was born in Torbay and since joining Windeatts in 1990 has built up a substantial Client base in the area. He is principally a Defence Solicitor for Criminal work, a Claimant’s Solicitor for Personal Injury work and enjoys representing the individual rather than the State. Nigel has a young family, is captain of a local cricket team and has obtained an Open University Degree in Natural Sciences.
Fiona Hughes PartnerFiona joined Windeatts in 1993 and was admitted as a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives in 2001. She became a solicitor in 2002, a Partner in the firm in 2005 and now co-manages both offices. Fiona has extensive experience in Personal Injury and general Civil Litigation, including Landlord and Tenant, property disputes, trusts disputes for cohabitees and general contract matters.
Beverley Watson Chartered Legal Exec.Beverley joined Windeatts in 1990 following a move to the West Country. She has wide-ranging experience in family law, with emphasis on Divorce, Children and Financial matters. Beverley is a member of Resolution (formerly the Solicitors Family Law Association) which commits family lawyers to resolving disputes in a non- confrontational and constructive way to minimise distress in family breakdown.
Kerry Ahir Chartered Legal Exec.Kerry joined Windeatts in 2005 following a move to the West County. She is a law graduate, and has qualified as a Legal Executive. Kerry regularly visits the police station and has experience of representing and looking after clients detained in the police station. She also prepares cases for Crown Court, including visiting clients in prison and conference, and attending court with clients to provide legal support to them and their barristers.
Sarah Long Litigation AssistantSarah joined Windeatts in August 2000 and has worked her way up from an Office Junior to her current position as assistant to Fiona Hughes. She has gained vast experience as a qualified Legal Secretary within the Litigation department. Sarah is in the process of completing her studies to allow her to qualify as a Legal Executive. Sarah deals with personal injury and specialises in RTA portal claims and general litigation matters within her role as Fiona Hughes’ assistant.
